Ready Made Piping by Byetsa - 323 Verde (Jade Green) Sold by the metre

Byetsa’s Batiste Piping is a covered textile cord specifically designed to add structure, volume and a professional finish to seam joins. Unlike traditional flat bias tape, piping includes an inner “core” (a solid cotton cord) wrapped in a strip of batiste cut on the bias, allowing it to adapt to curves, corners and complex shapes without wrinkling or losing its characteristic rounded profile.

Made from high-density, compact-weave 100% cotton batiste (or a blend depending on the reference), it offers exceptional resistance to tension and wear, while maintaining a soft, pleasant, skin-friendly feel. It is the go-to technical solution for those looking to “finish” two pieces of fabric while leaving a raised decorative line between them—a classic feature of haute couture and professional upholstery.

The batiste used in Byetsa Piping has been selected for its excellent performance when cut on the bias: it does not fray excessively, folds easily over the core, and is perfectly suited to machine stitching even in multiple layers. The result is a clean, uniform cord with a consistent profile along its entire length, ready to be inserted between two fabrics to deliver that “signature” finish that sets amateur sewing apart from professional work.
