Online Class - Jeeves Bag - Monday 26th October 6.30pm start

Join Sarah-Jane for an Online class to make a Jeeves Bag!  This is a bag that holds your rulers, can be an ironing surface.  You can make this bag to suit what you want to carry to classes with you.  

Are you a machine embroiderer?  You could make one to carry all your hoops and stabilisers.  

Papercrafter?!!  

You will be emailed the pattern & link to the class 24 hours before the class.

 Fabric requirements

• 2.5” strips (Jelly Roll)/orphan blocks
• 1.5m fabric for lining
• 26” x 23” (66cm x 60cm) Statement fabric if wanted for large pocket
• ¾ m Wadding
• ¾ m Interfacing if using to stabilise 
• 26” x 23” (66cm x 60cm) Insulated wadding if wanted for an ironing surface
• 1m fabric for 3” strips for binding edges (approximately 550” long) This can be multiple fabrics
• Two 26” (66cm) long dowels 

Lining fabric       

You will see very little of your lining fabrics so in my Jeeves Bag I used calico

                            14” x 14”               Large square ruler pocket – Pocket B

                            26” x 8”                Long ruler pocket – Pocket C

Wadding          Repeat above sizes.  Cut insulating wadding for the cutting mat pocket if using as an ironing surface

• I used a jelly roll on the outside, but you can use a statement fabric or a quilt top if you have one that you love and never got around to quilting.  There is a lot of surface area to play with here

• My big pocket.  I have wadded it with insulated wadding so that at a pinch I can used it to iron on.  This is also why I used a single piece of fabric as ironing will be flatter.  

• I used orphan blocks for my long ruler pocket.

• Again for the other pockets I used left over jelly roll strips and various other left over pieces.

• The little pouch also used left over pieces.
